I speak Italian and toilet is bagno or gabinetto, nothing near the name Vader. I love Star Wars but that is wrong.
They use the word "water" and pronouce it Vater still, i saw the movies in italian and he was called Vader.
In italian pronounciation Vader is very similar to "water", an abbreviation for water closet ('w' sounds like 'v'). Anyway I don't know if that it's true. We still call him Fener, but we all know that the original name is Vader.
Water Closet? You're aware that a "closet" is a furniture with doors to store things in it? I think you mean "toilet".
What a load of tosh
In Spanish we say "vater" and it stayed as Vader... Ridiculous.
In Venezuela we say Vader
Darth Vader is close to being Dark Father in English. In the Roman Catholic Church, the parish priests are also called Father. That is probably the reason why he is known as Lord Fener in Italian.
the *very* worst is PALPATINE. In italian (read sorto of palpatyna) means groped body parts (usually ass or tits :D )
