The 'Lighter' Side Of The Force
bringing Windu back would have been more believable than that Maul BS
but, I do agree that to keep bringing people back weakens the story. I kind of feel the same about these jedi (or one time jedi), like Kanan, or Ashoka, coming out of the woodwork. Yoda seemed to have a pretty good feel for other jedi, and he semmed pretty convinced Luke & Leia were the only two hopes, as did ObiWan.
It is possible that maybe, just maybe they're not omnipotent. that both Obi-wan and Ben had to shield themselves from Vader's wrath while in hiding. That maybe some of these Jedi are not powerful enough to warrant a bleep on the radar. Or that they die before Rebels actually catches up to Empire when Luke first meets Yoda. That's technically a few years off. So my point is, if Mace and Ashoka buy it before Rebels integrates with A New Hope and especially Empire... Then I think it actually makes sense. To think that there are NO force users left or that the Clone Troopers were so easily able to blindside EVERY single Jedi and Padawan seems more unbelievable than a handful actually escaping and being hunted down before Luke is even properly trained.
I can only reply briefly, as I am at work, but in the expanded universe, which was at one point relevant, it is actually mentioned several times that there are other "colonies" of Jedi, or organization who can use the force but are not part of the Jedi club. These particular groups were better at hiding as they were not associated with the Jedi and Palpatine didn't care as much. Any survivors could have ran off and joined them. The books are riddled with references to the Jedi and Sith not being the only force users.
Mace is ded get it over with. He got electrocuted n tossed out a bloody 10k building
A lil electrocution isn't going to kill a jedi master. It didn't kill luke and he was barely a jedi knight. You have to realize jedis are extremely conditioned both physically and mentally. Able to indure sub zero temperatures and volcanic heat (obi-anakin battle)He flew out, jumped or was pushed out of a window we didn't see him splatter nor falling nor anything.
Mace coming back.....just like Nick Fury coming back (seems like we've heard that story already)
How interesting would it be if Mace did live, for whatever reason goes into seclusion like Yoda, giving him a small role in Rebels for THIS purpose... maybe Finn in TFA is Mace's SON!!! WHOLE OTHER MOVIE/STORYLINE !
Anakin jumped from buildings and cars and whatever else in the prequels. Why couldnt Mace Windu do the same.
Im not sure if Mace should return in Star Wars Rebels but if he is to return in Rouge One I reckon that'll be a smarter move for Disney.
