Should Carrie Fisher's Death End the Skywalker Saga Films?

  1. It depends on what happens to her in Ep. 8. If she's killed off (she just recently finished filming for the movie) then the question is moot.

  2. She is not central to the story, but it would have been nice if she was around for the end. Hopefully they give the character a suitable goodbye.

  3. No way, death happens, accept it. It's not the end of the universe, though she will be sorely missed. Sorely missed. This isn't the first time someone wonderful has left us before their work was complete, and it's not like Carrie Fisher was carrying the entire Star Wars Saga, even though she was a key figure in it.

Whether Rey is biologically a Skywalker or not (even though I'm pretty certain), the legacy done been passed. There's plenty of meaning and story to be had, still, for a new generation. This is a big theme in the whole story, so, it would be a tragedy to end it. I think carrying on the torch in honor of Carrie is the best option.
